Today, in fact in just a few minutes, you will be standing on the surface of this world, having travelled 470 million kilometers (give or take some rolling) around our great star Sol. I'm still reeling from your first 10 inches of travel from your mom's womb. Now you're displaced 300 million km (300 Gigameters) from where you were born (discounting the relative distance also travelled by Sol through the Milky Way, and the travel of the 'Way itself).
Well done my son. You seem to be capably handling the navigation of Space Ship Earth and I have no doubt that we will be able to trust you and your brother with the helm. With today's rolling, all the push-ups and leg lifts I see you doing, I have no doubt that you'll be crawling very soon. I am so excited for the next surprises you give us.
I love you. Happy Semi-Annual Orbital Celebration day!
